Former intern has published a paper

It is gratifying to observe how your former mentees have progressed, demonstrating their ability to thoroughly analyze and address complex biological problems. We have worked with Temitope at Cajal Neuro investigating the mechanisms of neuropathological changes in Alzheimer's disease. The research titled "Systematic Analysis of Biological Processes Reveals Gene Co-expression Modules Driving Pathway Dysregulation in Alzheimer’s Disease" is published at Aging and Disease journal in 2024. Tope showed his interest in genomics and clearly brought it to the next level, where he has re-analyzed existing Alzheimer's data using an array of computational biology tools in a cell type specific manner. I am very proud of a former mentees that have expanded their expertise to the world of genomics and did this projects from the beginning to the end. There is a need to re-analyze existing neurological datasets to understand the mechanisms of devastating neurological disorders and Tope's work is one more step in this direction.
